In early 2008, I was working on my Flickr photos–many which tie into this blog. I wanted to use privacy as an additional way to filter my results during the organization process. What I didn’t realize had changed with Flickr–maybe during one of their improvements post the Yahoo-merger–was that if you changed the permission status, you also changed the url for the image source. Imagine, hundreds of blog posts that rely on images to tell part of their story, diluted by horrid “image not available” status.
I decided that instead of worrying about all those old posts (as far back as winter of ‘03), I would just archive those posts for my own use and start fresh–
I repaired and left all posts starting January of 2008. If you need information from my archives, contact me and I will see what I can do to help you!
