Aren’t peonies luscious? I came into work this morning and found my workspace adorned with a huge vase of these lovely, floppy skirts. And the smell…not overpowering like lilies can be, but rather, more rose-like, vegetative scent. Does that make sense? If it does, you should be wary–I don’t have much more room in my head for visitors.

Really, though–peonies are my favorite, I think. At least, they are right this very moment. And they age well, too…slowing drying to resemble a dusty tulle skirt…
